Foster Orientation

February 28, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Free

Fostering is crucial to helping homeless animals find their way into homes. By taking in an animal, you not only give it a break from the stress of shelter life, you also teach it what to expect in a home which makes the transition from “shelter animal” to “family member” easier, and more likely to work out in the animal’s favor. Seeing these animals flourish and learn to trust is rewarding for the animal and the foster family! Taking a shelter animal into your home until they get adopted also opens up a spot for another homeless animal to come into our protection.

Find out how to help homeless animals by taking one in for the weekend, a week, or until they get adopted by attending our Foster Orientation. This meeting is only about 30 minutes long.

*Fostering requires that you take a 1.5 hour training class on the Body Language of Cats or Dogs, depending on which you’d like to foster. To register for Cat or Dog Body Language, or see the list of our other events and classes, please click the events tab in the upper right-hand corner.
