Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Tessa Glover moved to Sylva in 2021, where she lives on a mini farm with her husband Matt, son Wyatt, and a menagerie of animals, including dogs, cats, goats, mini donkeys, and chickens. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, reading, hiking, and caring for her animals.

Tessa's love for animals began early, volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center in high school. She earned a degree in Conservation and Wildlife Management and completed internships at a big cat sanctuary and other animal care facilities. Her career highlights include five years working with cheetahs and carnivores in Florida, followed by a move to WNC, where she explored her passion for plants by working at an organic farm and volunteering at Balsam Mountain Nature Center.

Excited to return to animal-focused work, Tessa looks forward to bringing her experience and passion to this amazing organization and its dedicated community!
