Katie McHone
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Katie moved to WNC in 2007, and it has been her home ever since.
Katie worked in veterinary medicine for 12 years, and though had compassion for animals from an early age, this is where she found her love for attending to their health and well-being. It wasn't long after leaving veterinary medicine before her love of animals called her heart back again, and she landed at Sarge's in 2025 where she became part of the kennel staff. Katie is a valuable part of the team, and takes pride in ensuring a clean, safe, and fun environment for all the animals.
In her time away from the rescue, she loves spending time with her 2 children, 3 dogs, and 4 cats.
