Jordan Evans
Adoptions Coordinator
Born and raised in the outskirts of Haywood County, NC, Jordan’s passion for animal welfare began with her first ever mentor, her grandfather. His example helped shape her own approach to her career: leading with empathy, meeting people where they are, and recognizing the importance of supporting the bond between pets and their families. That foundation grew into a professional career starting at age 18, driven by a desire to learn and gain experience across all areas of animal care. Her background spans veterinary medicine, animal welfare and rescue, and owning and operating an accessibility-focused mobile dog grooming business. These varied experiences have given her a well-rounded understanding of the challenges pets and their people face, as well as the importance of meeting each family with compassion, understanding, and practical support.
As Adoptions Coordinator, she is passionate about helping pets find loving homes while ensuring adopters and pet owners have access to the education, resources, and tools they need at every stage of their journey. She believes the work doesn’t stop at adoption day and is committed to providing the means families need to feel informed, supported, and empowered long after they bring a pet home. Her goal is to make a lasting difference in pet retention rates by providing support that helps pets and their people thrive together, now and for years to come.
Outside of work, she spends her time with her own eclectic crew: Axle, a pit mix; Millie, a poodle mix; Cheese and Puff, a bonded pair of orange tabbies; and Sully, a mastiff mix still finding his footing as a long-term foster. Each found their way into her life through different circumstances throughout her career, and together, they make one wonderfully mismatched family.
